Last of the Daynes
Looking forward to visiting the Mill today. My paternal grandfather was born in the Miller's Cottage; my great grandfather George Daynes was the Miller. Family history brought to life. The last of the Daynes family.

Ancestral workplace :-)

Supporters of Crabble Corn Mill

The Friends of Crabble Corn Mill is a locally organised group for people who are interested in the mill and it’s future.  Much work on the mill and in the millpond has been carried out by the Friends over very many years and substantial funds have also been raised towards the project and to help with running the mill.

As the Crabble Corn Mill Trust receives no regular financial subsidy from any other organisation and has no financial reserves, all money for the upkeep of the mill and for future maintenance comes from visitors, the Tea Room, wholemeal flour sales, special events and other fundraising activities.

Free admission to the working Mill Museum

DISCOUNTS on many Mill events

(Beer and Cider Festival admission, National Mills Weekend, Easter,
Halloween, Christmas Grotto, Burn's Night, talks and slide shows)

All our events are enjoyed by Adults and Children and great savings can be made on ticket prices throughout the year.  Be the first to know about events by joining our email newsletter.

Could You Help?

The mill is run entirely by volunteers and many members help out in various ways.  If you have a few hours to spare could you: help arrange events and activities; help in the Tea Room; learn about the mill and guide visitors and schools around; or you could even train to be a miller!
